Default Refurb registered as BES instead of BIS

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All

as title suggests the refurb I recently received seems to have registered on wireless network as an Enterprise phone, certainly when I tried to setup email on my phone the option to select BIS wasn't available. I have received a message from Blackberry saying that I am registered, but when I called O2 they told me I needed to call Blackberry to register as my device wasn't registered, I explained that I had received a message saying that it was, but they have referred me back to Blackberry, but of course they are closed over the weekend.

Feel like I am going round in circles here. Is there anyway of de-registering BES? I am on contract for BIS, it set-up ok on my previous phone. The handset looked brand new, but presumably it has refurbed components inside that were originally on a BES phone.. or am I talking rubbish (likely!!)??

Have tried battery pull whilst device on and left it out for half hour, no joy.

Sorry if answer is obvious, but I am new to this and have been searching for the last couple of hours for info but to no avail.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks Midnightdraven, I had tried the Advanced Options, Host Routing Table but there is no option to 'register now', there is a list of numbers, one is bold and when I select that it brings up Host Routing Information. When I try the Service Book there is the following only listed:

O2 Active BC
O2 Active WAP2 Trans
WAP Push Config
WAP MMS Transport
Wi-Fi TCP/IP Browswer
Wi-Fi TCP/IP Transport

Does this help??

Thanks

When you go to host routing table.
you press the menu button and select register now.

It would appear no BES service books are on the device, but it also appears you don't have the provisioning service book either.

I would phone O2 and ask to speak to TECHNICAL SUPPORT not customer services and explain to them them problem.
I would say they havent provisioned your account with BIS properly.

Thanks, tried the 'register now' and received confirmation from Blackberry but still no option to select BIS. Will go back to O2 again, very cross, as I've wasted the whole weekend without email on my handset because they told me only Blackberry could help me!!

Thanks for taking the time to help me Midnight!

no probs.
You can setup email from your carriers BIS page.

But I have a feeling that with no provisioning service books, the data plan hasnt been activated so you need to get them to fix that.
