I've been using BB Desktop 4.7 without to many issues. Yesterday we received three new BB bold 9000 units. Needin to install AstraSync, I plugged the first unit into the PC. BB Desktop informed that there was an update for itself, and promptly updated itself to version 5.
Once that was done i went about trying to install AstraSync. BB Desktop 5 found some core updated for the phone so added those to the list. Now each and every time I tried to do the actual install it would stop after downloading all the updated with a fatal error, retry message. Annoyingly, each time it retried it seemed to redownload all the componants which was very irritating.
Anyway, suspecting the phone might be faulty, I tried another.
I tried going into the options and selecting the option to remove all the application on the device. No difference.
I eventually downgraded back to ver 4.7 and sure enough, no issues, averything updated fine.
Can anyone give me pointers about what veriosn's 5 issue is?
