I just got a BB World Edition 8830 and am having an issue. It's a second hand BB and the guy I bought it from had his e-mail set up on it. Well, I wiped the phone clean and tried setting up my e-mail, but I can't because it is still saying that there is an e-mail set up on it. Help?

Contact the seller and ask them to delete or release their e-mail account. Then you can register the BB to you.

You can release the account if you can show prove of purchase, just call RIM and they will get it done.

Actually, it is much easier to have the seller call their carrier and cancel their BIS account as NJ said, which will release the PIN for you to use. You can't just call RIM. You would have to call your carrier and see if they will do it for you - some will, some will not.
