my brother uses a BB pearl phone... and for some dumB reason him and his friends was wondering what happens if you type the PassWord incorrectly 10times... which they did and booom! a message came up saying deleting all applications blah blah blah... and now the screen is stuck on a white view with this 506 something something error... ive been around forums... trying things, and downloading other certain software's but no luck at all not sure what im really doing....


please send me simple instructions or links inorder to re-install all the applications on this BB-pearl... i don't know what else you need to identify the phones model... but all he said was BB-pearl....


Another question : since this phone came from the states we had to "open line it" with high pay in order to use it in asia....

is the following procedures to fix it going to delete it? forcing us to open line it again ?

firestly "open line it" you mean UNLOCKED.
No, nothing you do will lock the phone.

you need to install Blackberry desktop manager.
Find the OS version for your phone and install it.
Then connect BB to PC, open desktop manager and go to add remove programs
update
and install the OS.

hmm i inserted the battery back in the phone and did the same thing ive been repeating

using desktop manager-application loader - add/remove seems to work longer than before see how far this gets me thanks for the help.

im good it worked... just inserted the battery. and repeated with desktop manager. some threat said take it out = /
