Default Making Images Automatically Load in Emails?

Please Login to Remove!

Recent versions of the BB OS (at least from 4.7+) do a decent job of displaying HTML e-mail.

However, it's really frustrating to have to manually ask each and every e-mail to download images, then confirm the security challenge.

Thunderbird handles this beautifully by allowing you to whitelist senders for future automatic e-mail image loading...

Is there any way to achieve this on the BB?

If there isn't, there needs to be! (are you listening RIM?)

Wirelessly posted

I went to change the setting - all my accounts except for BES which doesn't have that setting were already set to automatically download images. Trouble is, it doesn't happen. Bug?

Externally linked images with ALWAYS have to be manually retrieved. It's a security feature and cannot be changed.

Images that are embedded in the message will display automatically if you have that setting selected.

Ditto what Motorcycle Mama said... Because those images can have nefarious uses, BlackBerry blocks them by default despite WHAT your settings are. Now if the image is actually embedded in the message, those WILL display IF you have the set Download Images Automatically to "YES".
