Default Desktop applications

Please Login to Remove!

I'm a brand new Blackberry owner (Tour) and I really like it. I am replacing my Palm Tungsten. Is there a "best" desktop application to manage the major 3 or 4 PDA functions (calander, memos, contacts, tasks)? This would be similar to the Palm Desktop. I understand I can use MS Outlook, or Google, or Yahoo, but none of these seem as complete and/or convenient as the Palm desktop. Suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Outlook isn't as "complete" as Palm Desktop?
Really...

Really? I use the notes feature in Outlook all the time, and they sync right up with the Memopad on my BlackBerry.

It has been a while since I've used Outlook - I never liked it from way back. If that is true, then I will need to revisit. Also I did not remember it having a field in the contacts for City, State, Zip.

You need to look at it again.
I'm not sure what version of Outlook you were looking at that didn't have City, State and Zip.

I would look at Outlook before posting again. Seriously.

LOL...

Yes, Outlook has a field for ADDRESS that includes street address, city, state, ZIP and anything else that is necessary for an address.

Outlook has NOTES which synchronize with MEMOs on the BB

Man, that darn Microsoft thinks of everything.

Use Outlook. It has clearly been a long time since you've last looked at it. Though I can't think of any version of Outlook without Notes or without City, State & Zip fields...
