Default SMS- Verizon/AT&T

Please Login to Remove!

I recently moved from a AT&T Javelin to a Verizon Tour. The biggest change in network that I noticed is that with AT&T when I would hit my 160 character limit it would just roll into another SMS. With Verizon I get "field full" and have to send the message and then start another. Is this a question of the networks handing sms differently or is there a setting I can change on my Tour? Thanks

Nope, can't change it. But there is an app for that called Beyond160. You may want to look into that.

Or you could just send an MMS assuming the phone on the other end is MMS-capable.
