Default Removing Security Policy

Please Login to Remove!

Hi recently upgraded to a BB Tour and gave my wife my old 8830 to try out before she goes full time Blackberry. Before giving her my 8830 I wiped the device so she could start fresh. The problem is my company's security policy is still showing up under the security options. I spoke to my IT Dept and they told me that the phone isn't registered to the BES anymore because my Tour was now and that Verizon could fix the issue. Well Verizon, performed two more wipes and no luck.

Does anyone know how to remove the old security policy from a BB, my wife is getting a little annoyed with typing a password every 15 minutes and I don't blame her.

Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

Will desktop manager see the device?

The phone was connected via desktop manager when I performed a backup and then I closed the program and removed the battery. After removing the battery an icon of a battery appeared on the device and sayed there throughout the multiple attempts to run the wipe.

Are there any other ways to fully wipe the device?

Thanks again

I thought you needed the battery in to perform the wipe....

Angry Cannot get the IT policy removed

Hey I have just got a 8830 blackberry phone off of Ebay and it came with an IP Policy. I have tried rebooting it and it still does not work. I have installed the desktop management updater to see if that works but it did not. I have also tried the Jl_Cmder thingy and it says it not compatible with my phone. Does anyone have any suggestions??
