Default BB 8900 Keeps shutting off!!!

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a new Blackberry 8900 and it kept shutting off. I checked to make sure the auto on/off feature was disabled and it was. The phone did this several more times before I took it back to the place of purchase were they replaced it. Problem solved? Not quiet!!! The new replacement phone done the same thing the very next night! I also own a Blackberry 8310, it cut off also a few days later. I really like my Blackberries and would like to know if anyone else is having this problem and is it the phones or the carrier (AT&T) that I have. Any help is greatly appreciated because this is driving me crazy, I am missing phone calls, texts etc.

Also, if these phones are so smart why do emotions not show up in texts? I don't know what the heck it means when I see :-* I have had a lot cheaper phones that actually show the heart, smile, etc. rather than just the text to create them.

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

First off, there is no 8910 phone

That being said, the emotions are not included in the text messaging/emails because they are not needed. The berry is a business phone, and smilies arnt really businessy.(Idk if that's the reason, but it just doesn't have it)

As for the resetting, you need to pull the battery. Then, remove your memory card (if you have one) and format it thru your compy. Then, put it all back together and it whould work

Thanks dankarlinski,
My bad on the 8910, I meant to say 8310. Sorry!
As for the emotions, I was only meaning to state that these phones are so advanced and expensive you would think they would have everything the cheaper phones have.

I will try your suggestion for the memory card, although it doesn't make sense what the memory card has to do with the phones shutting off.

Thanks

Except that many people have reported problems with phones shutting off and it has been related to the media card...
