I just got a Blackberry Bold and I have my work emails forwarded to it.
Mt IT guy installed the Blackberry Desk Top Redirector, and when the redirector is turned on, i get my emails sent to the Blackberry as planned ( as weell as the desktop of course). When i turn the redirector off, i keep getting the emails sent to the Blackberry. I was hoping that I wouldnt, as I get about 200 emails a day. I just wanted to get the emails forwarded when i was out of the office. Does anyone know how I can acheive this? Please help and TY

Why do you need a redirector? You can just poll from their server.

I assume you have no BES? Anyways in BDM (which I havn't used in awhile) used to have a setting

"Do no forward when BB connected" or something like that. This way when you are in the office you leave it connected (and charging) and when you leave you disconnect and email from that point forward will redirect to your BB.

I'm pretty sure the desktop redirection needs a pc on 24/7 for it to function.

Correct. The pc cannot be turned off or allowed to hibernate/sleep.
