Default Phone didn't come with software, how do I get it?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I purchased my BlackBerry 8330 from eBay. It was slightly used and didn't come with the software to transfer files over. It came with the USB cable, but every time I hook up my phone to my computer using the cable it asks for the software disk. Is there any where on the net that I could find a free software download? I am really wanting to transfer a whole bunch of pics from my phone to my computer and I can't without this software. Please let me know.

Thanks!

P.S. I was wondering if Blackberry has a free to-do list app? My phone also does not have a tasks icon or app on it? I am looking for this app for free. Thanks!

There is a tasks program. Download the desktop software and device software from blackberry.com

There is a link on the bottom for software... And for the. Deskop software, you don't need the media manager

May I suggest that you use the SEARCH function and read our FAQ? There is quite a lot of info there. Also get the user guide for your device and read it.

Do you have a blackberry data plan? Some functions on the BB, like blackberry messenger and push email do not work at all without the BB data plan.

Yes I do have a BB dataplan. I do have the push e-mail and I love it! Just don't have the BB messenger or the tasks app which is driving me nuts!

Dankarlinski -

I registered at StormOTA but can't find the BB software link to upgrade my software. Can you please tell me where it is? Thanks! TG

Wow. Apparently they were ordered to take it down per RIM's legal team. Looks like you'll need to google for it now. Sorry about that
