I have a FROZEN BB 8800 with the message:

UnCaught Exception: java.lang.classcastexception

1 - I have pulled the battery (didn't work)
2 - I've done the soft reboot ALT-CAP-DEL (didn't work)

I have read that it has to do with groups in my address folder. How do I salvage my 150 enteries? I do not want to lose all of my address book enteries. Is there a way to delete only the groups?

I reboot and once it does a software status my 8800 locks completely with the above message. I cannot move forward or backwards, nothing works.

Can someone PLEASE help me. How do I salvage my address book entries and get passed the frozen phone?

Hmm is it not backed up anywhere? Desktop, google? I have mine in the clouds with google. I think you will have to loose it unless someone has a better idea
