well after years of palm use and loved it, i decided to get a blackberry, well to my suprise they have the worst customer service in the industry, my back cover broke 34 days into the new bold 9000, and att telling me i am 4 days out of warranty and they cant do anything about it, blackberry says the back cover is an accessory and they dont make it, they sub it out, so off to for 30$ to buy a new one , oh wait they dont have them in stock so the guy tells me to pick another color like i want a red back on my fon i dont think so, so this whole blackberry love affair is over, stand behind your product would you i spent 400$ on your crap phone the least you could do is make me happy, offer some assistance to a new customer and i would be loyal, well back to my palm they have replaced parts and serviced my fon out of warranty several times to the point i bought a new one just to stay loyal, shame on you rim, shame on att, stand behind a a product would you!

Welcome to the forums.

This should have been posted in the Rants & Raves forum.

There should be a 1 year mfg warranty with the device. I am not sure if the battery cover is covered in that or not as I've never broke the battery door. Furthermore, there are more places to order back covers than shopblackberry. Check - Horizon Wireless, The World’s Cellular Repair Center .

They are a very reputable company. You could have always tried Cellular Nationwide Network - 3G, Sony, Panasonic, LG, SonyEricsson, Nokia, Tools, BlackBerry, or even eBay. You tried one place and called it quits?
The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
When you take things for granted, the things you are granted, get taken.
Even a mosquito doesn't get a pat on the back until it starts to work.
Too many people miss the silver lining because they're expecting gold.
