Default Apps World refusing to load

Please Login to Remove!

I'm totally new to Blackberry's I've got a Storm 9500. I've installed the Apps World software, however after working once it since will not move from the loading screen. I also get a few exception errors. I've tried removing & reinstalling but this has no effect.

Another minor issue - Do you only have access to featured apps, as I really wanted a weather app & this is not shown anywhere. Could this be UK specific?

I've come from a HTC & so far Im not so sure it was a good move. I didn't realise syncing with my outlook contacts & calender would be such a difficult/expensive problem.

Thanks

AS of today, AppWorld only works in the US, Canada and the UK. You must have a BIS Blackberry plan.

Where are you?

Hi I'm based in the UK on the BIS plan.

I get from boot up 'uncaught exception: application net_rim_bb_appworld(141) is not responding'

Thanks for the quick response

The OP mentions UK specific, so assuming UK
It should work.

And no, you scroll down to CATEGORIES
and then select a category.
It would be pointless if it only showed "featured" apps.

When you get it working, you should find BeWeather, a very nice application, and I believe it is available to UK residents.

no still can't get it to work. Midnightdraven 'scroll down to CATEGORIES
and then select a category' is this on the phone itself of the website. I see no reference on the website to categories.

Thanks

in App World
you see a screen with the featured apps
at the bottom are 4 icons
one of which (the left most icon) is categories.

You need to get it working on the device.

If you have it loaded now, delete it--from options > Advanced > Applications

Then, do a powered ON, battery pull reboot.

Now, go back to mobile.blackberry.com and download and install again.

See if you get it going.

And, if you've been there done that, well, try it again. There is really no reason it shouldn't work as long as you meet all the criteria, and it sounds like you do.

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

Also, go to options>advanced and them applications. Go to the app world, hit menu and change the security settings to allow for all 3 options. This will fix your problem
