Hi all, I use one business mail (bes) and one personal mail account (gmail) on my blackberry bold. Now there are 2 icons on my blackberry (Messages, Gmail) I successed on seperating sms from “messages” but can not seperate gmail from it. In short, I want to see my mails on their own places. Did any one solve this issue?

This is the way the B works.

Try this: Empower Work Folder for Blackberry BES

What? Not sure what device he has (profile says 9000-Bold; posting tag says 8320-Curve)... but the Curve comes with v4.3 or later OS and the Bold ships with 4.6 OS... Where do you get your information? You can't make it up as you go...

Hi All,
My phone is Bold 4.6, sorry for my old profile info. As I mentioned, now I have both a seperate gmail icon and an icon for sms, but the problem is default “Messages” icon includes all email acounts (bes + gmail), if you have any solution for using “Messages” icon for just business (bes) account, it is welcome. I can adjust my bold for sms but there is no option for seperating mail accounts.

You need to speak to your BB Admin and show him this RIM document:

View Document

This will enable a separate icon just for BES mail (just like BIS accounts). One of the posters suggested using BES Mailbox but that doesn't work very well for OS's 4.5 or later.

didn't know if I should start a new thread, but from a search function for others, this might be better.

On my storm I have 2 folders on the desktop of the phone. One is Gmail & the other is both Gmail & Work mail. The work mail comes via an exchange server (if this changes anything). I'm on BIS for both email.

Thanks

Just via the mobileemail.vodafone.net site, I can't find any references on any options on this site, however there is limited control.

You'd think it would be on the dev's list of things to do a long way back? Some sort of sort/filter option on folder on the handset.

How do I even toggle which email address I use to send msg's. Could get very messy if I got those mixed up.

well if on the BIS site you have [email address]
and then [email address]
i.e. 2 emails address setup there
there should be 2 mail box icons AND the MESSAGES icon.
I think, at any rate.

I've only got the one for my gmail & then all msg's combined. At least I know there should be 2, I have a look around to see if I can fix it.

Thanks again

resend service books from BIS site.
delete then re-add the problem account.

When composing an email, scroll into the header and choose via the Send Using field. Set the default via Options->Advanced Options->Default Services.

It's there if you're on BES. BIS is a bit of a compromise IMO. Filters are edited via your carrier's BIS site but no folder support (technically impossible for some email accounts).

Unless you're having the exact same issue as the OP (separating BES and BIS email in this case) it's generally best to start a new thread.
