Default Unlocked Storm on AT&T

Please Login to Remove!

I've got an unlocked Storm 9530 I'm using on AT&T. Don't have the Blackberry Data Plan. Do have an internet plan through AT&T.

On the Storm 9530 there is no browser icon. So I don't know what's going on with there not being a browser icon?

I've read the thread: Unlocked Storm on AT&T or T-Mobile by JSanders -03-09-2009, 02:01 PM

I've done everything thus far in the instructions given by JSanders and I'm stuck on this:

3. Plug in device and open DM>AppLoader>Add/Remove Programs and work your way through the process to remove the net_rim_bb_browser_dameon module. Close DM on completion.

When I do that there is no net_rim_bb_browser_dameon module to remove?

So I'm trying to figure out what is wrong. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

You need a BlackBerry Data Plan.
That's where the browser icon comes from.

Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

With the BB data plan added the proper service books will be sent to your BB! Thus giving you the browser!

Covered in the FAQ:
What do I need a Data Plan for? - BlackBerryFAQ

Quote:
With a generic data plan in addition you may:
* use a third party browser like Opera Mini, but NOT the resident BlackBerry browser

With a BlackBerry data plan you may do all of the above plus:
* use the resident BlackBerry supplied browser to access the internet

It is bad manners to hijack another's thread. You should start a new one with your question.

The device must be unlocked to use on AT&T. No voice or data until you unlock it. I assume it is a Verizon 9530?

i put that in my reply and I was trying figure how to get it working without a data package because they are saying you need a data package for that file to be present in the add and remove.
