Default 8330 Wrist Strap?

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone found how to attach a wrist strap to an 8330? I just got a used one and I'm VERY happy with a phone I can *U*S*E* unlike pearl with the teeny keys but I've had wrist straps on every cell phone I've ever kept (and not on the ones I've lost!)

Next, what are the two slots right above the word BlackBerry to the left of the camera lens, removing the battery cover shows they don't go anywhere so ??????

Are you asking about the 8330 (Curve) or 8220 (Pearl Flip as shown in your profile)? Not sure about the Pearl, but I'm pretty sure the 8330 doesn't have a place for straps.

There's nowhere to attach a strap. Best bet is to get case onto which you can place a strap.

Thanks for the replies, I guess the next step is to do the disassembly as shown elsewhere and start drilling holes.

I don't think a case with a strap will solve the problem of me dropping it when it's out of the case! My hands are sufficiently arthritic that I have no guarantee I'll be able to hold anything w/o some kind of strap as extra protection.

I ordered this:

It should be easy to attach a strap to it somehow?

Thanks for the reminder, I'd forgotten to edit my profile! It's fixed now.

Those are sound ports (you'll notice the speaker just beneath and behind the battery case once opened)...definitely not a secure location!

Thanks, didn't seem to have any useful purpose, I was wondering if they were there for something for future use...

Some people have successfully used a larger case (eg for an 8900 or Bold) when using a soft skin on their 83xx device.

Thanks to all who replied. This seems to work:

No problem attaching a wrist strap to it!

Looks like the problem is fixed and yes, that WAS fast shipping!
