First thing I would do is check with your provider. Make sure your account is provisioned for BES and not BIS. If you device is not configured for BES, the icon will disappear once it connects to your providers network and checks what it is provisioned for.

If you're going to connect it to a BES you really don't need Enterprise Activation. Connecting it to a computer with Desktop Manager and your email profile set up using the USB cable will do the same thing (and is generally faster).

Additionally, if the Enterprise Activation icon disappears, you can always find it under Tools/Options (not sure exactly where it is in the 7100/7105 menu structure).

You only need to set up email accounts on the T-Mobile web site if you're going to use BIS -- either in addition to or in place of BES. If you're using it with BES, it really doesn't matter which order you use to set them up.

you are right to an extent i had this same problem when i attemtpted to do enterprise activation the icon disapeared on me.... YOU DONT NEED TO WIPE YOUR HANDHELD TO FIND IT AGAIN

go to settings and then scroll down to your service books select that andthen scroll down to where it says PROVISIONING and highlight that.....then hold the alt key and press delete and it will delete that and your Enterprise Activation button reappears at the home screen..
