I have designed an application which i am going to distribute free even though this has never been released before. The app is still in beta stage but does currently enable you to do the most important part of the app - scan barcode and add to your own Tesco.com basket. Basically, the app is called virtual shopping basket, i hope it will be used to enable users to build up their online shopping basket or on-phone shopping list by scanning barcodes and quickly typing a product into your phone, within seconds the product is in your list on the phone and in your basket online. I would love to hear some feedback on the concept and also if anybody with a blackberry in the uk is willing to use my app and maybe offer some feedback let me know. The app is signed by RIM.

So, you have to be in the tesco store, to scan a barcode, to add it to your online grocery list, which if you are ordering groceries online, you dont want to go to the shop.

the scan of the barcode is taken when you are throwing stuff away or realise you are running low on something, this way you never come out of the supermarket - online or instore and forget something. It is virtually a shopping basket you carry round with you all week, and also a list you carry around with you as you always have your phone! You also have access to the list online so if family memebers wanted to add to the list they can view it by logging in to their account on my site, The list is emailable so if the wife was going shopping you can email her your list! No more excuses!

well, its not pointless. i cant see there being that many users, but i suppose if someone needed that ability, its great that you've written an app for it.

I shop regularly at Tesco, both in-store and online, so would like to volunteer for your beta.
