Default Change Device question

Please Login to Remove!
My wife upgraded from 8120 to 8900, and there is Change Device option on the BIS website. Do we have to do anything? I know a few people who stopped getting PIN messages or BBM Friend Requests when they just swapped sim cards.
I just want to make sure we do everything right when she moves to the new device.

That will move her email accounts over to her new device.

Use the Switch Device Wizard in Desktop Manager to copy her contacts/data/settings/3rd party apps/etc. from the old device to the new one.

The Device Swap Wizard on the desktop software is great, it will move all of her bb contacts and pins to the new device....you mentioned her receiving pins...she will need to advise anyone with her pin that she has a new one.....they will not be auto directed....

With the Switch Device Wizard, the new PIN is updated in your friends' BlackBerry Messenger contact list (but not their Address Book, if they also have it stored there).

It moved everything over but it failed moving a few things I guess they were not compatible with 8900's OS.
Also when I went to BIS website, it recognized the new PIN and changed device automatically. Now She is getting BB Messages as well as e-mails.

What if I switch to a new BB on a different carrier? I know that I will have to setup the BIS for the new carrier, but can I swap all my 3rd party apps and device settings, or will I have to start from scratch?

My new job location has crappy AT&T coverage, so I may go to Verizon, but I may wait until the Storm 2 comes out.

Switch Device Wizard is carrier agnostic. If you go from an older device to a newer device, some of the apps may not transfer over if they are not compatible with the new device.

Or like in my wife's case, you will end up getting incompatible games like Christmas Pool, Disco Bowling and a few others not being able to run in full screen due to resolution difference.
