Default Upgraded To Tour - Having A Problem

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all,

I just upgraded to the tour, and I am trying to migrate the e-mail accounts over to the new device.

Problem is, when I go to the blackberry.com/go/vzw site and click on change device, when I type in the PIN and MEID it tells me "The information you have provided is not valid for this service provider."

Can anyone help? My 8830 is now activated on my sons phone line and he is getting my e-mails.

I am on BIS, not BES.

Thanks,

Mike

Try using the MEID hex, not the MEID dec.

Neither the dec or hex version of the MEID works. On the phone with VZW tech support now.

Just to confirm, you're not trying to activate a Sprint device on the Verizon website, right? It's Verizon branded...?

It is VZW branded, ordered from VZW as an upgrade yesterday.

Can send and receive text, but can't do e-mail, or browse.

Just open the 'Email Setup' icon on the device. It should ask you whether or not you ant to switch to the new PIN once it recognizes you're using a new device.

Can't browse? Do you have a 1x, 1xev, 1X or 1XEV signal?

While you're talking to them, make sure you have the BlackBerry data plan. They may have done something wrong when upgrading the device for you. If all else fails, have them remove and re-add the BB data plan.

I do have the 1XEV signal, and email setup doesn't work. Times out when trying to connect to the server. Setup wizard e-mail setup just skips over and goes right to bluetooth setup.

Try registering the device on the network: Options -> Adv Options -> Host Routing Table -> Menu button -> Register now.

When you did the *228 to provision it, did you get any errors, or did it complete?
