Default Looking for some advice

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everyone.
I got a Storm in April of this year. Before this I'd never owned a smartphone. I know the rep it has and everyone's complaints about the phone; I had them too, but with the OS updates and over time, I'd really grown to love it a lot.

So then this weekend it flew out of my pocket on a ride and completely shattered. My mom conveniently cancelled insurance three days earlier. We've tried to get verizon to put it back on, but that's not happening. They did said they'd give me the 1 year price, which is $170.

So here's where I need some advice. I'm currently completely broke, so I can't buy a new phone right now. I'd like to buy an older, cheap smartphone on craigslist or something and use it until I can get the money to buy either the Storm or another new phone sometime in the next 6 months or so. Who's owned a phone from the past few years that you think would be a good choice and I could find for relatively cheap? A bb, palm, some windows os phone? Anything, I'm just looking for some suggestions.

Thanks.

You could prolly find a curve on craigslist for not alot of money, Just be sure any phone you buy is Verizon branded, and if possible meet face to face for the purchase so you can take the phone to a VZW store have it checked to make sure its not stolen and in working condition.

The 170 sounds very good to me. Also the nice thing about paying the 170 you can put the insurance back on your phone. Good luck.
