Default Help re travel in US - from UK - with Orange

Please Login to Remove!

I am UK with an 8320 - going to US for 10 days.
Apparently, they will charge me 8 per megabyte!!!

I like to use my e-mail and also am a big user of Yahoo Messenger.
This is 'free' with my UK Blackberry data bundle charge which I negotiated at 5 per month.

The script-reading idiots in Bombay told me I could have 3mbs for 11 then changed their minds when I queried it.

So.. does anyone know how much messaging on Yahoo would constitute a megabyte.

OR would I be better off getting a T-mobile US sim (b/f in New Mexico is on t-mobile and calls between t-mobile phones are free.

This will necessitate unlocking the BB.

If anyone has experience or any other good ideas, I would be very grateful to hear them.
I love my mobile - all my friends live there or in my computer!
