Hey! I just bought an unlocked BB Bold but I cant download the instant messenger.. can someone please help me?!! I have no idea what do to!!

Do you have a Blackberry Data Plan? What exactly is the problem with downloading (what have you tried, where do you get, what happens, etc etc)?

Not yet.. ill get the data plan in one week... by now im using the wifi of my house

You can't download anything or use data without a BlackBerry data plan. No email, no internet, no IM.

If you can find an IM app that uses SMS or works with wi-fi, you could use that. I think Beejive IM is supposed to work with wi fi.

Edit.. some things work with just wi-fi but without a data plan your device won't have the BlackBerry browser. You can use Bolt or OperaMini I think.
