I think i am positing this in the wrong section as i could not find a place to introduce my self, so found this to be the closest, ne way greetings to u all and love this frum. I have read quite a few interesting posts.

I have a problem which brought me here, and my problem is i have a BB 8800 and cant get the maps to work ie use it like a sat nav where u see the street and the map etc etc. i have had the fone for a year ( i lost it in the house and could not find it and was looking for somthing else and found my fone again).

Question is it possible to load some map software so that i can use it as a satnav, if so could u post a link as to where i may down load this software. U can guess i am completeley new to BB. great fone.

There are many maps applications out there.
Google maps: shows streets, can search and give directions.
Telenav: same as above but I think gives voice directions i.e. turn by turn.

What are you looking for in a maps application?

i am not sure which application need i am looking for some pointers and advise as i would like to be able to use it as a sat nav, ne guidence would be highly appreciated...

So from what I understand, sat nav gives you turn by turn directions and possibly voice too.
As far as I know, there isnt a FREE app that does this. Only PAID apps that do turn by turn navigation.

hi m8 thanks 4 the reply. Is it possible just to get the maps on to the fone so that i may at least see a map that i can follow. Not to botherd at the moment about turn by turn feture. Thanks

You need a BlackBerry data plan to get maps.
