Default how to view personal folders on device

Please Login to Remove!

I use Exchange with a BES and am told that I dont have to keep everything in my inbox to use as a reference if I ever need one of those emails. I use personal folders but do not have them synched. Since they reside on my PC how do they get to my device and do they offer the same functionality (viewing, forwarding, etc) as if they were in my inbox?

You cannot integrate personal folders on a BlackBerry.

Erm, im not entirely sure, but on the phone in messages - menu - options then i think email reconiclation there is a Folder redirection option somewhere, where you tick those folders you want synced.

You can't view anything in a personal folder. If you want access to folders they need to be in your mailbox.

That's true for your PC but not for your BB.

While I will not disagree with those that have a lot more experience than I do, I would like to present the situation that I have on my handheld. It may help the OP and maybe someone with more knowledge can explain how it works.

I have a 9530 on a corporate BES. I am running Office 2007 on my desktop. I have a .pst with folders for keeping copies of e-mails from various individuals. By the use of rules, I copy e-mails to these folders when they hit my inbox. I have the ability to see these folders on my handheld. However, the only messages I can see in the folders are ones that I moved there on the handheld (Messages/Menu/File/FolderName). I cannot see anything that is copied there by use of the rules set up on my desktop. Once placed there via the handheld, I do have full functionality (forward/reply/view).

Could this be a solution for the OP if he always moves messages to the folder(s) from the handheld? Kind of a pain but I think it would work.
