Default What Is App Error 523?

Please Login to Remove!

Twice now, I've gotten the "app error 523" on my phone. The first time was last week after I had loaded BerryADDon. Then, the first time I turned my phone off & on, I got that message. I pressed the "restart" icon, and it restarted without any problems. But it did it again, and I finally had to wipe my phone and reinstall everything, without the BerryAddon (which I hate because it was a great app). It was all good........until yesterday.
I installed 2 themes (from a reliable source). The first one went off great, but the second one gave me that same error message. I tried the reset icon, battery pull, but nothing would work. I went to bed saying I'd do a wipe this morning, but now everything is fine again.
So, my question is since I've had this problem only within the past week, is it actually a software issue, or could there be something wrong with my 8100? The only other thing that I can think of that is different is the bbscanner. That's the only new app I've added within the past few months, but it gave me no problem until I added BerryAprobably DDon.
Sorry for such a long post, but I like to give as much info as I can.

Error 523 means a "System process died" and generally means reload the OS. It usually occurs after loading incompatible 3rd party software.

Had you searched or looked at the FAQ, you would have found this: What should I do with App Error 523? - BlackBerryFAQ

Best case, a battery pull fixes it, but generally only tempoarily. Worst case, you'll need to wipe it and reload the OS. Hope you have a good back up.

As I found out the hard way. At least I had my backups though.
Thanks.
