Yep, its gotten effing wet or in a effing steamy bathroom during a shower, or such. Very typical keyboard problems from moisture.

Don't worry about disassembly, just remove the battery NOW for 4-5 days and place in a bag of dry rice per the instructions.

Oh no, that must be it because I literally just had a bath and was laying there emailing and texting. Oh God I cant live without my phone for 4 days! Culd I just put it out in the effing sun for a bit?

I'd recommend the advice given in post #7.

My wifes Pearl has been in the kitchen sink twice (yes twice!) and both times I followed the destructions how to take it apart and cleaned the circuit board with some solvent on a cotton bud then dried it with another cotton bud and put it back together and it worked but this is probably down to luck as much as my skill as a phone engineer.

So I guess your options are:-

1,take it apart
2.get the rice out and make a Blackberry chow mein for a few days or
3,your effed.

Hang on though,there's always the microwave,hmm...............

Don't mention the effing microwave....someone might actually effing do it.

Are you saying don't use the microwave?I thought that was what people meant when they said they'd nuked their Blackberry!

It's a good job you told me because next time "she who must be obeyed" does her party piece and hurls her 8110 in the sink I was going to try a couple of minutes on defrost and see if that sorted it out.I suppose I'll have to rethink that one and get the screwdrivers out again.
