Default Rebate Feeler - The Mobile Solution

Please Login to Remove!

I am writing to see if anyone else is having a problem recieving thier rebates?

We purchased a Blackberry Phone from T-moble that had a $50 rebate attached to it, it was a manufatures rebate but it looks like The Mobile Solution is processing the rebates. We sent in all the information with delivery confermation (confirmed delivery on USPS website) 8 weeks ago and still have not heard anything.

When we send an email we are getting the same canned responce:

"Dear Customer,

We were understaffed so it is taking longer then six weeks to process a rebate. As long as you sent in all the required paperwork along with the rebate form then you probably will receive your rebate within three to four weeks. Sorry for the delay.

THE MOBILE SOLUTION
REBATE DEPARTMENT
[email address]
619-297-1288 EXT 1229"

Its not that I can't wait for the rebate, its these damn caned responces that are irritating me. No one will even tell us if they have the documents and when you call the number the mail box is full.

I looked through the forum and I didn't see any other posts on this, so that made me wonder if there is anyone else out there having the same problems as I, or if this is just an issolated problem?

Thanks everyone,

Westin

When I did the $50 rebate for my 7290 with Cingular, I got it in about 4 weeks. Strange thing to me is I got a $50 gift card, like a visa card. It was ok, but when I got down to about $2 left, it was a pain to spend the last little bit. I finally got someone to split a bill with what I knew was left and cash

I can only imagine how many enquiries they get. ALthough it is a canned response, it gives you confirmation that things are just taking a little longer than usual due to their "understaffing" (seems like a rediculous response, but ok.. I'm sure they could have come up with something a little more reasonable like the stock "technical difficulties" or "the holiday season").

Anyway, it would be prohibitive for them to write a personalized response for every client who enquires about their rebate. I would just give it another 4 or 5 weeks. Rebates can take what seems like forever sometimes. They are definitely a test of our patience sometimes, so I can sympathize.

Good luck. And happy waiting!

Thanks for your comments everyone, and the reality check.

Incase others here are curious. We did finally get a better responce from the company. They advised us that are just now starting to process the orders from early Sept. As we submitted ours at the end of Sept it'll be a little longer still. Obviously they can't tell us if they've recieved our request yet if they havn't even opened the letter.

So theres still hope.

Thanks again everyone,
