Default Browser/App world

I just wanted to settle this because I have searched EVERYWHERE and have found little to no solutions, if any apply. Is it possible to install the blackberry browser or more importantly App World without a blackberry data plan? (From AT&T)

This has been the most outstanding result. I just don't feel the need to pay the extra 20 a month just so I can have App World. The lack of 3rd party OTA downloads is disturbing as well

Verizon requires you to have a data plan. At&T doesn't.

AT&T has recently announced that they will require data plans for ALL smart phones beginning September 6. You have been warned... and you have one week to "get 'er done" ...

There's definitely no way. No BB data plan = no service books = no browser.

Don't know why it's "disturbing"... This FAQ link is constantly posted to threads in this subforum:
