I am considering a blackberry and i am currently with nextel so i am interested in the 7100i. I just need to check my personal email but i dont necessarily need the blackberry email because i do not need my mail updated every 5 mins. Would i benefit in any way if i opted for the $39.99 plan since i am only using it for the web browser. I am extremely new and i appreciate any info.thankyou.

I'd recommend that you get the unlimited plan with Nextel. It's only $10 more a month and you don't have to worry about going over. The overage charges can kill you, just read some of the threads on here about overage charges.

thanks alot. also, the $39.99 plan says 5 mb of email and unlimited web browsing. does that mean i could read my mail from MSN for ex through the web browser and not have to worry about the 5mb. thanks again

I'm not sure about that, but that would kind of defeat the purpose of a BB and having email pushed directly to it.
