Hi, this is a newbie question, I realize, for this forum, but I thank you for reading and any responses I receive.

I know NOTHING about the world of Blackberries. I have always had your cheapest flip phone. But I'm going to grad school and I want central organization now. All I need, beyond phone and text, is a calendar and email function. I don't need global roaming or stereo bluetooth or anything. What's the cheapest I can get away with that still has some attractiveness to it? I'd like to spend $50-75 on eBay, let's say.

The cost of the basic BlackBerry Data Plan on Verizon is one cost, I believe $35/month, so find the BlackBerry device you like and feels best in your hand... probably the 8330 or 9630. Last I saw, VZW had some bood buy one get one free deals on devices.

If it were me, I'd go for the Curve 8330. You should be able to pick up a decent one on eBay for around your price range.
