Default how does someone find out who a PIN belongs to

someone sent a blackberry messenger request to me by providing me with a pin. how can i find out what phone number this pin belongs to? i don't want to accept if this is someone i don't know. thanks

You can always accept the invitation now and delete them later if you want. You will disappear from their contact list as well.
