Default Blackberry just wont start

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Everyone,
Just recieved new 8110 blue. Fired it up first time, all was fine. Copied all my old contacts from old SIM to blacberry. Turned it off, placed new SIM into blackberry, placed in battery and now nothing? Blank screen and the light on the front just flashes red. Any ideas?

Thanks Hong

Try a hard reset, (pulling battery out while the phone is on.) if that doesnt work, try to hook the phone up to the computer and reload the application handheld software via desktop manager. click the homepage in my profile about device tutorials on how to do a master reset on your device, that may need to be done also...

If it is new, take it back.

Hi There. Tried to reload, but when I go to application Loader, it just states 'no software availble for your device'...Any ideas, or do I just send it back?
Cheers

if you are using att, go to www .att .com/bbdownloads and download the handheld software there. install it to your computer before you attatch the device to the computer. once installed you can verify by clicking on the help button int DTM, and then about, it should tell you..i think thats where its at. anyway after you verify it is installed to the computer, hook up the device to the computer, and use your app loader to install the "system software" to your device. itll load all your cool little preset apps too. (should anyway) try that and let us know how it goes.
