Default Blackberry causes PC to reboot

Please Login to Remove!

Whenever I connect my BB 7290 to my PC, the BB Desktop Manager starts to recognise it, then the PC suddenly reboots. This all started happening last week, and there have been no changes made recently.

I am running Windows XP SP2, Desktop Manager V 4.0.0.30. I don't think its a USB problem as I have other USB devices which work ok.

It does put an entry into the System log, which reads:

Event ID 1003, Category (102), Description : Error code 100000d1, parameter1 00000000, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 f987ad68.

I can get around the problem by removing the Desktop Manager Software and all entries in the registry which refer to 'Blackberry' or 'Research in Motion' , then reinstall all the software, its then working ok, until I have to reboot the PC for other reasons, then the problem returns.

anybody have any thoughts or ideas ?

Default

You can try clean uninstalling DM and installing DM 4.1 software. If its still rebooting after that then test your BB on another PC. Chances are its going work on another PC indicating theres something wrong with yours.
