Wipe OS with password

I was wondering if there was a way to wipe a phone clean with it having a password....My friend gave me this phone and I failed the PW thinking it would reset itself which it doesnt....then i tried running app loader with the battery out plugging the phone in and wiping it clean that way and it asked for the PW.....anyone know the best way to do this with a password

Why not ask your friend for the password?

Ahhhh the simplest answer is usually the right one....but in this case i am pretty sure this wasnt a phone that he knew the PW to if you get what i am saying :)

So, your saying it's stolen?

My friendliest suggestion would be for you to try and get a new Blackberry thru one of the normal retail channels... short of that, should you be able to get yourself a hot one pedro, I dare suggest you come on a public forum and ask for help getting into it.
Somewhere out there is an insurance carrier that just paid for a phone that you and your friend now have

whoa whoa whoa nothing like that....without blasting anyone....its nothing like that....phone is not stolen....long story short.....it was his ex he bought and well by me saying ex he got the phone back locked.....so he cannot use it or therefore sell it to get some money out of it....since im the only friend of his that works in a "sales channel"....was wondering if there was a way around it.....man does everyone turn to the worst initially....come on just asking for some help....not a moral lecture....come on guys

You have been around for a while. Im good with it. Just type in the wrong password 10 times and you will have a squeaky clean phone!

Good Luck!

Thanks "mister" although i have been reluctant to try that seeing how is the last time i used that method....well lets just say the phone countinueously power cycled.....anyways thanks

Hey amar, sorry for the blast too... you just needed to clarify when you stated that your buddy wouldn't have the password with a smiley. I'm just fairly sure most of us on here work pretty hard for what we have and the thought of someone stealing my blackberry kind of gets me right here, if you know what I'm saying.
GL with the phone... I've got my gf's old Pearl thru tmo that I can't get to fire back up either so I'm with ya there...

have you tried the app loader OS wipe??? that always worked for me until this chaos....if you dont know what i am talking about let me see if i can find the link if not by the time you reply to this....i can give you step by step.....honestly by far the best way to do a complete wipe
