Default Optus Blackberry 8900 on Orange France

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

I have an Optus Blackberry 8900. I am going to back to France in a couple of weeks and have an Orange France post pay account with BIS activated. Will my Optus Blackberry work and will I need to do anything?

Any help would be appreciated.

Kind Regards,

You'll need to make sure it's unlocked, but after that you should be able to pop in your SIM, register it with Orange France, and be good to go. Just make sure that the PIN/IMEI are not still registered to Optus when you leave. Calling them to have Optus release the PIN/IMEI may be necessary. Otherwise when you try to put those numbers into the BIS page at Orange you'll get the error message that "your PIN/IMEI is currently associated with another carrier."
