Default Direct view/download from web

As a new blackberry user (7130e on Verizon) one thing I haven't been able to find either by searching the forum or other web sites is if there is any way to download or view files (eg. pdf, doc, etc.) directly from the web browser while viewing a site which has those file types available? Will something like eOffice interface with the browser, or is it just not possible right now?

Thanks,
TF

You'll need to download the file to your system, and then open it (with eOffice).

It won't open PDF, Word, etc... directly in the browser.

The reason is the files have to be pre-processed by a BES server which makes the files smaller so they'll work on the phones. Some 3rd party apps like mentioned above can simulate some of the functionality.

Default Files

OK, Thanks for the feedback.

But just to clarify, if I have something like eOffice, will that allow me to download the file to the device from the web site through the browser? An example, would be a company site that has a .pdf link with information on an announcement, so I would need to somehow download the file in the link to the BB. This is probably a better question to send directly to the eOffice folks, but if anyone has any experience with it, feel free to chime in.

Thanks again,
TF
