What version of Desktop Manager are you using? What version of Outlook are you using?
What BB do you have? There is no 8380.
Are you plugged into a HUB? If so, plug directly into the PC.
Did you try a battery pull on the BB? With the device on, remove the battery for about 30 seconds, reinsert and let the device reboot. Then try to sync again.
