No, DM does not sync e-mail. Ypu will have to remove the e-mail on your pc seperately

If you set the options it will reconcile whether you are on BES or BIS (Depending on email platform). It's not real time but it will delete from the account if you choose so.

Message Folder>Options>Email Reconciliation> (Choose account) Delete on PROMPT.

Your BB will not reconcile with Outlook on a BIS. I believe not even DM via a USB will reconcile e-mail thru DM. It only manages contacts, tasks, and calander events. You can configure your BB thru a BES to reconcile with Outlook. If this is a personal device, its more than likely on a BIS.

Reconcile deletes from the email server, not the PC.

Not exactly correct. Desktop Manager does nothing with email, that part is correct. With BIS, email can be set up to reconcile with Outlook on your PC. See post # 3.

Whoops, see Dubdub's post above. I did have mine set up (by accident) in BIS and on the device so it would delete in Outlook on my PC also, I think, but I don't remember how how I did it.

Well they aren't going to use DM manager to receive email. They might use redirector but should use BIS and it will reconcile to the account.

So Outlook is basically set to reconcile with the server? You then set your reconcile options on BB for handheld wins? This marks the email as deleted on the server then when outlook syncs with the server it will also delete it?

No, if outlook has already downloaded the message, and you havent got "leaves messages on server ticked" then the message will not get to the BB.

If you have got the email on your BB, then download to outlook, and have leave messages on server, and delete email from BB, it will still only delete off server, as outlook has a copy.

Nothing you do on a BB with BIS interferes with what Outlook does.

I am also a new BB user, and on BES. I can delete email from the BB device, sent from our Outlook Exchange Server, and it will delete it in my Outook Inbox. however, when I read and delete email from Outlook, it does not delete from the BB device. So, my device ends up with alot of email I've already deleted in Outlook. I have to go in and delete them from the BB.

Welcome to the forums. It should not work that way. It should be bidirectional reconciliation. What happens if you read a message in Outlook, does it appear read on the BlackBerry?
