Default Lost in Afganistan with my storm

Please Login to Remove!

I bought a storm for myself with verizon as service provider with understanding they had email and internet services available while im deployed. Im in Kandahar and the only service i get is voice at 2 bucks a minute.....

Customer service is a joke as they now say they do not have data service available in afganistan,,,,There is a provider here (AWCC) that will provide the internet if i install a sim card......Not sure if a storm even has a sim card or it that will work if i replace it....

Just feel ripped off by verizon at moment and trying to fix situation using my blackbery before i get local phone...

Any help appreciated..

The Verizon storm does have a slot for a sim card if you purchased the storm from a Verizon store there should be the Verizon sim card in it. if the storm you got is unlocked which will allow you to install any sim card you like will work with the service provider where you are. im not sure if they have a prepaid service over there but i am sure it would be better then paying two dollars a min. but once you get the sim card there are a few other things that you need to do to make the internet work on the storm.
