Default How do I know what carrier I am locked to?

Please Login to Remove!

Can someone please explain which screen on the 9000 Bold will definitively and unambiguously show which carrier the phone is locked to?

Thanks.

Alt + Shift + H all at the same time will bring up the Help screen. Vendor ID will be a 3-digit number that corresponds to the issuing carrier for that particular device.

Vendor ID List

Another dead giveaway is a carrier name on the BlackBerry itself. If it says T-Mobile at the bottom it was originally locked to them. it may be unlocked already though, especially if you bought it used.

Well if the phone is "locked" the the company listed in the mobile network IS the provider, or the phone isn't locked.

Not true on GSM phones.
It will show the provider of whatever SIM card is in it, even if unlocked.

Thanks very much all, very useful - I don't think Options>mobile network works, because that changed depending upon if my locked carrier had no signal.

I used Shift+Alt+H in the end.
