Question Lost Contact from BBIM

Please Login to Remove!

The other day, something strange happened, I got an invite from someone to be added as a contact, I accepted.

I had a brief conversation with the person and they were on my contact list.

Today for no reason at all, the conversation and the contact has been deleted.

CAN SOME HELP, or AM I GOING INSANE.

P.S. HOW DID THE PERSON GET MY PIN, I DON'T KNOW THE PERSON.

Many Thanks

The contact may have removed you from their BBM list.

Thanks

I don't have a data plan (I don't think so)

When you say pull the battery, you mean turn off phone etc.

Wirelessly posted

No a battery pull means take the battery out, different from using the icon on the home screen to turn the phone off.

Sounds like you bought a used BlackBerry and the old owner didn't let everyone on his BBM contact list know he had a new device with a new PIN. This mystery contact still had the old owner in his/her address book, but with the old PIN. They saw the old contact was gone from their BBM and sent you an invite, thinking they were re-adding the old owner. I've gotten PIN messages from folks who didn't know I was the new owner of a used BlackBerry and thought they were messaging the old owner. Some interesting stuff came through too! Internal numbers on a pending deal, and a comment or two on last night's pub crawl. Good stuff!
