Default Browser icon question

Please Login to Remove!

Haven't seen anything about this one, but could someone tell me the significance of the icon in the upper right of the bb browser just left of the padlock(security) icon? It looks like a black square with smaller green squares at the the top left corner and bottom right corner. If it matters, I have a Tour.

Thanks,
pretty new guy

If I'm not mistaken, it indicates whether you're connected to the Internet. Connected, the little squares are green; disconnected, they're black.
