Default updating issues!!

Please Login to Remove!

dear all

i downloaded the new os for the bold .301 and i deleted all the vendor.xml files on my computer plus i downloaded the desktop manager with the new customizing(without the automatic updates) 5.0 ,
after all this when i try to update a msg appears 1 min after the updating procedure says " a fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software.please try again"

someone please help since m really pissed off !!

Try the loader method:

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

4. Make sure that you are plugged in directly to your PC/laptop and not throught a hub. Try a USB connection on the back of the PC
5. One thread per topic. Do not post the same problem over and over.

As the others said, please do not post the same question more than once. It makes confusion for us and for you.

If you are having trouble finding your own posts, do this:
Click on your username in the list at the bottom of the forum homepage.

My cousin had the same problem like a week ago! I think she called Rogers to get it fixed

btw, thanks guys.. i was unsure of using the loader method, but you've helped . i am on .282, and i want to update to .301. anyway. OT, but thank you.
