Hi,

My Blackberry 8900 is about 6 months old. For the past 3 days now, each time I make a call or receive a call, it starts connecting via Bluetooth. I have to manually Activate handset/ speakerphone each time. The bluetooth service is off normally.

I tried rebooting it, I tried switching Bluetooth off. Nothing helps.


Can anyone please advice.

Check out your paired devices and see if there's anything else it could be trying to connect to other than your headset. Are you sure bluetooth is off? I don't see how it could connect if it's turned off.

yeah i am quite sure that bluetooth is disabled.
It shows the bluetooth sign on top left (next to the calling text) when I make the call till i activate handset.
It shows the bluetooth sign on botton left(next to the "Answer" text) when I receive the call till i activate handset.
The person on the other side is able to hear a ring, but I dont hear anything on my end.
