I have just bought BB 9000 (Bold) and installed DM v5.0 to sync my Outlook 2007 with my BB.

I have configured my Contacts for a 2 way sync. For the first time when Outlook wites all the contacts to BB, all is well. Every field written matched Outlook and BB.

On a resync, BB say that 90% of my contacts have changed and wants to update the Outlook.

Upon invetegation I found that in Outlook, I have multiple words in the first name field and empty last name. eg. Joe John Doe. What Intellisync does is somehow it break the name into First Name - Joe, Middle Name John Doe! and then wants to write it back to outlook!

I tired to modify the maping, disabled the middle name maping, in this case the intellisync moves splitted name to Last name.

Please help! Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Hi, I'm having the same problem. In Mexico we use sometimes very long names like Enrique German Ibarra Robles, where Enrique German is the first name and Ibarra Robles is the last name. We don't use middle name.

If you don't have too many contacts, consider just manually splitting the names into first and last name fields. If there are a lot of contacts involved, consider exporting your address book to excel. From there you can easily copy/paste everything that's in the middle name field over to the last name field. Then just import the file back into Outlook.
