Default copy contact from another SIM to Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

Hello All,

I used to have Nokia with all the contacts in my SIM card... I have recently switched to Blackberry 8520 and also switched my carrier (From Fido to Rogers)

how do I copy the contacts from Fido SIM to BB? I tried to do it but it says "SIM not supported"

is that because BB is locked?

what is the best way to move my contacts?

Thanks all

I'm not sure there's a clear cut best way but here are some options:

- Get your BB unlocked and then copy the contacts off the SIM
- Find a SIM card reader, copy the phonebook off the SIM and then import into Outlook or a supported PIM on your PC and sync to the BB
- See if you can sync the Nokia (if you still have it) with Outlook or a supported PIM and sync with the BB

Regardless of the method you select, be sure to back up and/or sync regularly.

Hi,

thanks for your reply.. I actually ended up unlocking the BB and then inserted the old SIM and managed to copy over the contacts... I think it was the simplest way...

thanks
