Default Curve 8900: Sending drafts

Please Login to Remove!

I recently got the Curve 8900 and have a question to which I can't find the answer in the manual.

Why is there sometimes no Send button in a draft message? There is an address in the To field but no Send in the options.

I would have figured that one out!

There are 2 messages in draft, one has a Send option and the other doesn't and I can't find how to send it. The network is definitely on.

What type are they?
Are they both the same? One SMS or one Email?

Have you typed a name/email address in the "To:" field?

Yep. Like Motorcycle Mama said, usually it means there is no valid address in the "To" field.

I can assure you there is a valid email in the To field, especially as it is a reply. It is an email and it has the green draft icon yet Send is nowhere to be found.

It was a question not an accusation. And I didn't see anything in the thread about the messages being a reply.

Very strange, though. Never had that happen except when I forgot to put in a recipient. Sorry can't be of more help.

Try a battery pull, maybe?

I can now see that my original problem is rooted in another problem: duplicate emails.

A very small number of emails come through twice to the BB despite the fact that there is only one email in my email account. The second message often comes through several hours later. This second message does not have a send option whether in draft or normal.

So my question now becomes: What are some emails being sent twice to the BB?

Many thanks.
