Anyone have advice of what app to use for viewing my calendar and contacts on my BB curve and my desktop? I want to sync them and use either to view. Someone mentioned Microsoft works, but I don't know how to install it. Help!

The most widely used Desktop program to sync a Blackberry with would be Outlook.

You can not sync with Microsoft Works.

You can also sync contacts and calendar info with Google if you have that info there. As SteveO said above, Outlook is the most widely used and probably the easiest you use.

Because the BlackBerry was designed with business users in mind, and 95% of the business world uses MS Outlook, that's the overwhelming choice for a PIM application.

Mac users can choose either Entourage or the standard iCal/Address Book apps.

Outlook goes on your pc. So does BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Your BlackBerry is ready to use BDM and Outlook right out of the box, nothing to add to the handset.

Yes, just configure Desktop Manager to sync with Outlook. First time you run it you should be walked through the process of selecting the program to which you will sync. Outlook is normally the default.
